Desenho Relacional do Trabalho: Conceitos e Desafios para Investigação Futura (Diseño Relacional del Trabajo: Conceptos y Desafíos para la Investigación Futura)

(Resumo en portugués) O campo de estudo do desenho do trabalho tem incidido sobre os aspectos do trabalho que podem contribuir para a motivação e o bem-estar dos trabalhadores, bem como para resultados positivos para as organizações. Os aspetos relacionais do trabalho, algo negligenciados nos quadros de referência prevalecentes até recentemente, têm despertado uma crescente atenção por parte de vários autores do campo do desenho do trabalho (e.g., Grant & Parker, 2009), durante as últimas duas décadas, fruto da progressiva evolução, a nível global, para uma sociedade de serviços. Um dos objetivos deste artigo de natureza teórica prende-se com a análise de conceitos do modelo do desenho relacional do trabalho de Adam Grant (2007), em paralelo com outras abordagens, com um historial anterior, ao estudo do contato com clientes e seus efeitos nos trabalhadores, nomeadamente do burnout e do trabalho emocional. Pretende-se igualmente apresentar implicações teóricas e práticas decorrentes dos estudos realizados no âmbito do quadro de referência do desenho relacional do trabalho, bem como desafios para investigação futura neste campo.
(Resumen en español) El campo de estudio del diseño del trabajo se ha centrado en los aspectos del trabajo que pueden contribuir a la motivación y el bienestar de los trabajadores, así como para resultados positivos para las organizaciones. Los aspectos relacionales del trabajo, algo descuidados en los marcos de referencia imperantes hasta hace poco, han despertado, en las últimas dos décadas, un interés creciente por parte de diversos autores del diseño del trabajo (por ejemplo, Grant y Parker, 2009), fruto de la progresiva evolución, a nivel global, hacia una sociedad de servicios. Uno de los objetivos de este artículo de naturaleza teórica se refiere al análisis de conceptos del modelo del diseño relacional del trabajo de Adam Grant (2007), en paralelo con otros enfoques, con un historial anterior, al estudio del contacto con clientes y sus efectos en los trabajadores, especialmente del burnout y del trabajo emocional. Se pretende también presentar implicaciones teóricas y prácticas derivadas de los estudios realizados en el marco de referencia del diseño relacional del trabajo, así como retos para la investigación futura en este campo.
