Desarrollo y Validación del Inventario de Estilos de la Personalidad-Rosario Rovira (IEP-RR)

El propósito de la presente investigación fue desarrollar y validar el Inventario de Estilos de la Personalidad – Rosario Rovira (IEP-RR) basado en los desórdenes de la personalidad descritos en el DSM-III-R y DSM-IV-TR. El desarrollo del IEP-RR se validó con una muestra de 321 empleados puertorriqueños de los cuales un 60.4% (194) eran mujeres, un 34.6% (111) hombres y un 5% (16) que no respondió a la pregunta del género. Todos los participantes estaban empleados, lo cual fue el criterio para su participación. La validez de constructo del IEP-RR está apoyada a través de varios análisis de factores, los cuales sugieren que el inventario está compuesto por 11 escalas. Además, la baja correlación entre las escalas del IEP-RR con la Escala de Deseabilidad Social apoyan la validez de constructo de tipo divergente del IEP-RR. La confiabilidad de las escalas fluctuó entre .78 y .87, valores que se pueden considerar como coeficientes de confiabilidad buenos.
