¿Es el Coaching Efectivo? Medición de la Efectividad del Coaching Mediante la Escala de Jones Adaptada al Castellano

Resumen

El coaching profesional es un acercamiento emergente utilizado en las organizaciones como estrategia para la creación de valor. A pesar de la continuidad en su uso, la efectividad del coaching ha estado en controversia.  Esta investigación tuvo el propósito de traducir, adaptar y determinar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Efectividad Percibida del Coaching (PCES) desarrollada por Jones (2016).  La muestra estuvo compuesta por 401 trabajadores en Puerto Rico.  Los resultados confirman la estructura bi-factorial de la escala con niveles de confiabilidad altos.  Concluimos que la nueva escala es un instrumento adecuado para medir la efectividad percibida del coaching en el contexto laboral puertorriqueño, representando una aportación importante a la literatura y práctica científica del coaching y la psicología del trabajo y de las organizaciones.
